Helping Heroes FAQs

Helping Heroes is devoted to empowering single mother entrepreneurs in developing nations, providing them with resources, training, and support to help break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for their families.

A notable initiative is the Sewing School Project in Congo, Bukavu. This project provides a structured training program to single mothers, equipping them with sewing skills that not only enable self-sufficiency but also allow them to teach others in their community.

The program includes two six-month semesters with training on weekdays. It covers essential sewing skills, and upon successful completion of the program, participants are awarded a certification.

Individuals and organizations can contribute by donating, sponsoring a hero, starting a fundraiser, sponsoring an event, or even volunteering. Further details can be found on the Ways To Give page on the Helping Heroes website.

Funds are utilized for school rental, certification, enrolling students, purchasing sewing machines, and covering living costs for the participants during the training period.
